Greetings! My name is David Leoni and I am the
proprietor of the Dundalk
Music Center.
In the Summer of 1976 I completed my bachelor's degree in Music Performance
for Classical Guitar at Towson
State University.
I had been teaching guitar in my parent's basement, when my father Jim, who
was a salesman for most of his life, talked me into opening a studio/music
store.
With his help, we found a store front in the historic
Dundalk Shopping
Center located in Baltimore,
Maryland. We built a show
room, a few practice rooms, and stocked the store on a very small budget.
Our business focus from the beginning was "Satisfy the Customer."
Over the years the business grew and as we expanded our inventory in order
to carry more brands that customers requested, our customer base grew as
well.
Soon after, we found that we needed to expand in
order to accommodate more student practice rooms and a larger, more diverse
inventory. In 1981 we moved our store to our new and larger location, still
in the same historic shopping center, at 15
Center Place. Today we still operate our business from that location.
Now, over 23 years after opening our "brick and
mortar" storefront, I have teamed with my brother Jim, who has a
background in Information Technology, to expand our music retail operation
to the next logical step; an electronic online storefront. Still focusing
on high quality customer service with customer product education and prompt
delivery, we offer our extensive product inventory (as well as special
orders) to a world-wide community of buyers.
